Authorities confirmed that Mikel Ramon Thomas Jr., a resident of Birmingham, has been charged with Murder and Robbery in the First Degree following an investigation into the deadly incident.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Kameron Marquese Voltz, also of Birmingham, Alabama. According to police reports, the tragic event took place on Friday, March 20, 2026, in the 200 block of Lake Drive Circle NE. Officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of a serious incident and later confirmed that Voltz had lost his life.
Investigators worked quickly to gather evidence and identify a suspect. Later that same day, authorities took Thomas into custody without incident.
