Police in Huntingdon Borough responded swiftly to a violent incident on March 23, 2026, after receiving reports of an attempted stabbing along the 400 block of Washington Street. According to the Huntingdon Borough Police Department, officers arrived around 2:20 p.m. and quickly identified the suspect as Kenneth Dale Parks Jr..

Investigators were able to piece together the sequence of events using video footage captured by witnesses, along with surveillance recordings from nearby buildings. The footage reportedly showed Parks aggressively brandishing and slashing a knife while charging toward the victim. Authorities also stated that he could be heard making verbal threats during the confrontation, creating a dangerous and chaotic scene. Fortunately, the suspect fled the area when witnesses indicated they were contacting police.

Following the incident, officers secured a felony arrest warrant and launched a multi-hour manhunt with assistance from the Huntingdon County Sheriff’s Office. During the search, police received a tip about a possible location where Parks was hiding. When officers arrived, a resident was uncooperative, prompting authorities to maintain a strong presence in the area.

Shortly afterward, officers spotted Parks leaving the vicinity. When they attempted to approach him, he tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended without further incident. Parks has since been lodged in the Huntingdon County Jail, facing both felony and misdemeanor charges.

Officials credited Officer Conrad, the lead investigator, and thanked assisting agencies for their coordinated efforts in bringing the situation under control.
