On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Boston Police Homicide Detectives formally lodged a warrant against a 16-year-old male from Needham in connection with the 2025 fatal shooting of Marie Molea-Anthony in Roxbury. The juvenile suspect faces multiple charges, including Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Authorities confirmed that the suspect is already in custody on separate firearms-related offenses and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court at a later date.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Monday, October 13, 2025, at approximately 1:07 PM. Officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call reporting a person shot near 1855 Washington Street in Roxbury. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. She was subsequently identified as 61-year-old Boston resident Marie Molea-Anthony.
