Maryland Murder Case, Quadruple Amputee Cornhole Champion Accused in Fatal Shooting of Passenger
A shocking case out of Maryland has drawn national attention as Dayton James Webber, a 27-year-old known as a quadruple amputee cornhole champion, faces serious murder charges following a deadly shooting. Authorities say Webber is accused of killing Bradrick Michael Wells, also 27, during an argument inside a vehicle on Sunday in La Plata.
According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, the incident unfolded when a dispute escalated, leading to Webber allegedly shooting Wells, who was seated in the front passenger seat. Investigators say two additional individuals in the back seat witnessed the घटना. After the shooting, Webber allegedly asked the witnesses to help dispose of the body, but they refused. Instead, they exited the vehicle and later flagged down officers from the La Plata Police Department to report the crime.
Authorities were alerted to the shooting shortly before 10:30 p.m., and less than two hours later, Wells’ body was discovered in a yard in Charlotte Hall. A warrant was quickly issued for Webber’s arrest.
Law enforcement tracked Webber to Charlottesville, where officers from the Albemarle County Police Department located his vehicle at a gas station. He was later found at a nearby hospital seeking treatment and was taken into custody upon release.
Webber now awaits extradition back to Maryland, where he faces multiple charges, including first- and second-degree murder, as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the case.
