Authorities in Yuba County have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in Olivehurst, shedding new light on a case that has led to multiple arrests. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the victim was Benito Valle, a 30-year-old local resident.

Deputies responded to reports of a verbal altercation on the night of March 20 along 6th Avenue, where a gathering had taken place. Upon arrival, officers discovered Valle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Adventist Health and Rideout for emergency treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

As the investigation unfolded, detectives worked to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. Authorities canvassed the area, gathering witness statements and reviewing evidence, which ultimately helped them identify vehicles believed to be connected to the suspects.

This led to the arrests of Adrian Vega, 21, from Yuba City, and Namee Najarro, 24, from Marysville. Both individuals now face multiple serious charges, including homicide, assault with a firearm, and weapons-related offenses.

Despite these arrests, officials say the case remains active, with investigators continuing to explore whether additional suspects may have been involved. The tragic incident has left the Olivehurst community searching for answers as law enforcement works to ensure accountability and justice.
