Fatal ATV Crash Under Investigation, South Holland Police Seek Answers in Late-Night Incident
Authorities in South Holland, Illinois, are continuing their investigation into a tragic all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash that claimed the lives of two individuals late Tuesday night. According to officials, the incident occurred at approximately 11:09 p.m. on March 24 near the intersection of 159th Street and Van Drunen Road, after officers were alerted by an automated iPhone crash detection notification.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that an ATV—commonly referred to as a four-wheeler—had collided with a concrete parking barrier. Emergency responders quickly assessed the situation and found two victims with severe injuries.
The female victim, identified as 32-year-old Bria Fleming of South Holland, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that her phone had triggered the crash detection alert that prompted the emergency response. The male victim, 47-year-old Terrell Jennings of Country Club Hills, was found unconscious and suffering from traumatic injuries. He was transported to Ingalls Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary findings indicate that no other vehicles were involved in the crash, and investigators have not identified any witnesses. The absence of eyewitness accounts has made determining the exact sequence of events more challenging.
The South Holland Police Department is leading the investigation, working closely with the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team to piece together the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Officials have not yet released further details as the investigation remains ongoing.
