Double Murder Charges Filed, Teens Accused in Deadly Snellville Shooting and Crash Case
Authorities in Snellville are investigating a disturbing case that has led to murder charges against two 18-year-olds following the death of a young man earlier this month. According to police, Glenn Fitzpatrick and Michael Coker are currently being held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail.
The pair face multiple serious charges, including felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. These charges stem from the death of Taveus Threatt Jr., who was found fatally shot on March 13.
Law enforcement officers responded to a 911 call just after 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of Spruce Circle in unincorporated Gwinnett County. The caller reported that a vehicle had crashed into their car and that the driver appeared unconscious. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Threatt in the driver’s seat, dead from a gunshot wound.
Investigators have stated that the events leading up to the crash remain unclear, and no motive has yet been established. The lack of details surrounding what occurred before the incident continues to pose challenges for authorities.
Police say the investigation remains active as they work to piece together the timeline and circumstances of the fatal shooting and crash.
