Midday Violence in Milwaukee, Five Shot in North Side Incident That Leaves One Dead

Police in Milwaukee are investigating a deadly shooting that left five people wounded, including one victim who later died, in a troubling burst of violence on the city’s north side. According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers responded around 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, to reports of gunfire near North 37th Street and the intersection of Teutonia Avenue and Good Hope Road.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities confirmed that a total of five individuals were shot, including a 20-year-old, two 29-year-olds, a 21-year-old, and a 25-year-old. Emergency responders transported all victims to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Tragically, the 25-year-old victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. Family members later identified him as Simon Calvert. The remaining four victims sustained injuries of varying severity, though officials have not released detailed updates on their current conditions.
